FOTD: Minimal Make-Up!

Well I've been trying to think of a more imaginative title for this post for a while, but that's just gonna have to do! On Wednesday I went for lunch with my grandparents and some family friends. I've been suffering quite badly with hayfever over the past week and minimal make-up is the way to go...wearing tons of make-up just irritates my eyes even more. Actually looking at these pictures it looks like I'm wearing no make-up at all, but hey!

~Maybelline The Falsies Mascara
~17 Hide Away Concealer
~2true Twist 'n' Line Eye Definer
~Mango & Papaya Lip Balm (this was a gift but I'm pretty sure it's from Superdrug....the only problem is that it tastes SO good yo have to keep putting more on!)

~Hair flower from H&M
~Blouse from Tesco

I was also a 'Featured Follower" on Elle's blog. It's a great idea for bloggers to see other bloggers and find out more about them, so check it out!

Enjoy! xo

July Favourites.

Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've blogged but hopefully I'll be able to get a few more posts up this week. I went to Wales with my grandparents, spent a few days with my cousins, and went to Cambridge for the day so it feels like I haven't had a moment at home! And I'm off on my holiday next Monday :D

This is my first monthly favourites post, so let me know if you like it :)

Sunhat - I bought this in Claire's Accessories for £12....since I have really dark hair my head attracts the heat and gets really hot in the blaring sun. I was going to write that it's been pretty useful in Britain this month, but lo and behold it's raining as I write this! I'll defo be trying to squash it into my luggage for Italy though :)

Necklace - New Look. I have a dress which goes perfectly with this...I'll show you some time!

Ted Baker Rich Body Souffle - Smells amazing and the consistency is just right, not too thick or runny.

FCUK Bronzer - The brush that comes with it is horrid but it's a nice product for adding a bit of colour.

Benefit Eyebright - Since I got this in the Glamour mag offer I've been using it almost every day!

Benefit BadGal Lash - Another magazine freebie from ages ago, just got to using it now and it's great.

Next Paradise Eau de Toilette - Perfect summery scent.

What are your favourite Summer/July items?

Enjoy! xo

NOTD & Some Sales Shopping

I've finally got a new camera, Canon Ixus 95 IS, it's not the best camera around but it was cheap and I'm super impressed with the quality of the photos!

First off, let me show you my NOTD. It is Miss Sporty shade 30 (which is pop fiction...if I've remembered that right!). I always used to look at the Miss Sporty range in Superdrug but wasn't that impressed, but they've recently put it into our Boots and today I picked up this nail polish for £1.99, thinking you can't really go wrong! I actually love it haha. The colour, application and finish looks great...I'm not sure how long it's gonna last - I'll have to update you on that!
Oh and by the way, do you like my ring? I got it for £3 in Boots, half price! :)

And of course since I was in town today I had to get a few other things...

Cropped top, was £12 now £6 - New Look.
On the back, there is a cute bow which I love!

Necklace, was £8 now £4 and Shoes, were £16 now £8 - both Accessorize.

Various mini-toiletries (4 for £3 in Superdrug) - I'm off to Wales tomorrow for a few days and just wanted some small things so I didn't have to lug huge bottles of shampoo, mouthwash etc on the train!
W7 gold eyeliner, £2 - Peacocks.

As I just said I'm going to Wales tomorrow and I'll be gone till Friday, so I'll post at the weekend.
Have a lovely week! xo

Hotel Freebies

So Summer is finally here and I'm sure a lot of you will be going away for a few days! After spending half a day yesterday clearing out the family bathroom cabinet I thought of doing a post about hotel freebies as I seemed to have accumulated far too many! Although as a family we rarely stay in hotels, my dad travels a lot for his work and always brings me the hotel freebies back :) Some are a lot better than others and I'll show you the best ones I've received below...

-Bvglari "eau de parfumée au thé blanc" Shampoo & Conditioner
-Colgate sensitive pro relief toothpaste
-Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser
-Keiji soap
-L'Occitane "ruban d'orange" Soft skin milk
-Damana orange blossom body lotion
-Damana olive oil soap
-Health & Spa sea kelp shampoo

My favourite product is definitely the Bvglari range....I've already used up all the body lotion because it smelled so good!
The great thing about taking hotel freebies is that you can take them away with you next time....very handy since they are all very small and would follow the 100ml rule on flights.

So, what's the best hotel freebie you've got? xo

Day Out: Greenwich & Haul

So I took a little (understatement maybe?) trip around London on Monday. We started off at St. Pancras, took the tube and DLR to Canary Wharf where we bought some picnic food which we took to Greenwich and ate in a little park by the river. The weather was gorgeous and I'd never been to Greenwich before so I was so surprised that you can find somewhere so green and beautiful in central London! After lunch we got the boat (see pic below) to the South Bank, had a cup of tea and then went on to Long Acre for some retail therapy! We walked to Lamb's Conduit for dinner and on the way back to the train station I couldn't resist doing some more shopping in the Brunswick Centre. I had a really lovely day - although I could barely move my legs by the time I got home, we did that much walking (or maybe I'm just really unfit lol).

(The old Royal Navy College and Greenwich Market...in Greenwich lol)

(The boat - the 40 minute journey cost me £1.70...beats the tube any day!!)

And now onto what I bought....
Barry M Nail Paint in Raspberry - £2.95
Body Shop Passionfruit Shower Gel - £3 (reduced from £5)
Body Shop Sparkle Eyeliner - £1 (reduced from £6)
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation - £5.99 (had £2 off)
Superdrug Mud Therapy Aloe Vera Mask - £2.49
Soap and Glory Mini Righteous Butter - £2.25

All from New Look -
Top - £9.60 (20% off £12)
Socks - £1.50 (reduced from £4)
Charm bracelet - £2 (reduced from £6)

Enjoy! xo

Versatile Blogger Award

So, this is what I have to do....

- Thank and link back to the person who gave you this award
- Share seven things about yourself
-  Pass this award to fifteen bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic for whatever reason! (I decided to go for just ten)
- Contact the bloggers you picked and let them know about the award.

First off, thanks to Megan for giving me this award - go check out her blog! :)

7 things about me:

1. I LOVE languages - I’m taking both Spanish and French at A level next year, and although most people think I’m crazy, I just love them and would love to become fluent in another language one day :)

2. I have 3 scars on my body....all three from nasty mosquito bites haha. I went to France 5 years ago and got eaten alive!! I still have the scars which are horrible and ugly...they’re like dents in my skin :(

3. I’m Christian and go to Church almost every Sunday.

4. I’m actually quite a shy person when I’m around new people - I find it so awkward at parties when you meet new people.

5. On the other hand, I act totally crazy when I’m with my family. I sing, dance, and do all these stupid accents! lol

6. I always take the stairs - I know it’s stupid but I have a fear of getting stuck in the lift!!

7. I’m short sighted so I wear glasses sometimes - just when I’m watching TV, reading signs or reading off the board in class.

I hope you found that vaguely interesting...here are the people I’m passing the award onto:

Liv
Hannah
Niki
Shannen
Paige
Lilylipstick
Lollipop
Jessica-Alice
Aamberr
Cherub Cheeks

Congrats girls! xo

Prom Night Flop :(

I finally had my Prom on Tuesday night and unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The buffet consisted of old sandwiches and crisps, the band was crap, there wasn't enough seating and people ended up leaving around 10pm! I had an alright time, and I tried to make the most of the bad evening by talking with people who I may not see again :( and I was touched by getting lots of lovely comments. I didn't take that many pictures, but here you can see my dress, hair and make-up! :)

Dress - ASOS.com
Shoes - New Look
Bag - Primark

I put my hair in a side bun and used two flower clips from Boots.

This silly pose was to show you my nail polish - I wanted something bright/dark to set off the pale pink in the dress. I wore 17 Royal Indigo

Make-up wise I wore;
- Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation
- Avon Kajalstick Purple
- Barry M Dazzle Dust Mushroom
- Benefit Eyebright
- Avon Glazewear Sparkle 'Rave'

Enjoy! xo
